For being M.A. in Drawing and Painting, from Agra University, Agra in 1973, She was awarded Ph.D. on the thesis "Rajasthani Kala Ke Sandarbh Mein Kishan Garh Shaili Kaa Vishesh Addhyan" by Agra University, Agra in 1983. She is a retired lecturer in fine Arts at the Government College for Women, Rohtak and is one of those artists who paints in the traditional genre to keep alive ancient Indian art forms. She employs a unique style. Instead of brushes, she uses specially built knives for her oil paintings. The art of oil-and-knife painting originated in Europe and is built on the concept of "patch-work". She has painted on almost all aspects of life, her works show a leaning towards the classical Kishangarh style.

Her favorite subject is Radha Krishna. She started her career as Arts and Crafts Instructor, at TRM Public School, Modinagar from 1976-1977. Joined Rajni School of Arts, Modinagar from 1977 to 1985 and became Lecturer, Fine Arts Department, Govt. College for women, Rohtak from 1985 to 2006. She has won several awards, including the Vishishta Seva Pramaan Patra from the Haryana Government. Exhibitions of her work have been held all over the country and also in the USA.

Mr. Ravindra Kumar Tanwar is currently serving as Lecturer, (HOD, Fine Art), Delhi Police Public School, Safdarjung Enclave, New Delhi 110029. He has completed his B.F.A. (Applied Art) Jamia Millia Islamia, University, New Delhi with First Division(1989-93) and One month Certificate course in “Multimedia” from ISCT, Safdarjung Enclave, 1997. He has participated in several exhibitions including “Vaykunth” A Group Show (Drawings) at Open Palm Court, IHC, New Delhi, 2013; Top Trios and Special Mentioned Photographs Exhibition by Imagine, Museum Auditorium, Trivandrum, 2013; 1st Delhi International Film Festival, Art Exhibition(Photography), NDMC Convention Centre, New Delhi, 2012; 3rdNational Photo Exhibition, Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi, 1997; Kalam Festival organised by J.M.I.University. New Delhi, 1993; 7th, 8th & 9th Yuva Mahotsava organised by Sahitya Kala Parishad, New Delhi, 1991-93.

He has received award by C.M. Smt. Sheila Dixit at Picture Perfect Delhi – 2012, Photography Contest by Govt. of Delhi, NCR, 2013; Delhi Award for Best Teacher by Commissioner of Police, 2011; “KALAM AWARD” for ‘Best Artist in Applied Arts’ in Kalam Festival-93′ organised by J.M.I. University, 1993.

His works are in the collection of Redsun Enterprises, South Africa; Karamhans Pvt. Ltd., J&K; Crown Gaskets (India) Ltd., New Delhi; Oxford University Press, New Delhi and many more.
