National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) conducts every year by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (N.C.E.R.T) for granting scholarship to the meritorious students studying in class 10. The appearing candidates should be below 18 years of age. The exam conducts in two stages including Mental Ability Test (MAT) known as stage-1 and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) as stage-2. The mode of exam is offline and the duration of the exam is 120 minutes. So, it is important that to work on time management students should practice with free NTSE online mock test series. Stage-1 will consist 200 questions in objective type with multiple choice. Only 1000 students will be awarded for the scholarship in specified categories.

For Class XI to Class XII, a scholarship of Rs.1250/- per month is provided.
For Undergraduates and Postgraduates, a scholarship of Rs.2000/- per month is provided.
For Ph.D., the scholarship amount is fixed in accordance with the UGC norms.

National Talent Search Examination 2019-2020 Stage-1 to be held on 2nd, 3rd and 17th November 2019.
On 2nd November 2019 (Saturday) NTS examination will be conducted on Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Andaman & Nicobar Island.
On 3rd November 2019 (Sunday) the exam will be conducted in all States and Union Territories except 9 states and Union Territories mentioned above & below.
On 17th November 2019 (Sunday) the exam will be conducted in Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, NCT of Delhi and Jammu & Kashmir.
Students registered under Open Distance Learning (ODL) can also apply for the NTSE 2019-2020.
Stage-2 of National Talent Search Examination of 2019-2020 to be held on 10th May (Sunday), 2020.
There will be 1/3rd negative marking applicable in stage-1 of NTSE.
You do not need to pay any fee charges for NTSE stage-2. Also, no negative marking in the stage-2 examination.
Qualifying marks in each paper are 32% and 40% for candidates of SC/ST/PH and General/OBC&EWS categories respectively.
Students who have secured at least 60% marks in class 9 exam are eligible for NTSE 2019.
