About HSSC Clerk Vacancies and Examination
Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has invited applications for the posts of Clerk. There is total of 4858 posts of the clerk. HSSC has extended the last date to pay a fee to 2, August 2019.
The Educational Qualification required is 10+2 with First Division / Graduation from a recognized Board/University. Moreover, the candidate should have studied Hindi and/or Sanskrit at least up to 10th Standard or maybe in Higher education.
Age limit is from 17 to 42 years. However, there is upper age relaxation for reserved categories only for the domicile of Haryana.
One candidate can submit only one application online. Candidates are advised not to submit more than one application as his/her application will be automatically rejected. There are total 4858 vacancies (General=2354, SC=913, BCA=709, BCB=511 and EWS=371).
HSSC Clerk Exam:
There will be a written examination of CBT or OMR based, which will be scheduled tentatively in August 2019. The question will be of multiple choice type.
The Exam will have a weightage of 90% which is divided into two parts. Out of this 90%, the first part will have 75% weightage and the second part will have 25% weightage.
In the first part, questions will come from subjects from Reasoning, Mathematics, Science, General Awareness, Computer, English, Hindi, and relevant or concerned subject, as applicable. The second part will comprise of subjects from Culture of Haryana, Current Affairs, Literature, Geography, Civics, Environment, and History.
The candidates are advised to attempt all questions because there is no negative marking in the exam. The total number of questions are expected 100 and maximum marks 200, two marks for a correct answer and no penalty or deduction for wrong or not attempted questions. However, this pattern may be changed but overall this exam result will comprise 90% weightage.
The balance 10% weightage is given to Socio-Economic criteria and experience.
